Some great news! Zotero’s case was dismissed. This is a great victory for developers, researchers, and writers. Zotero was an indispensable tool in the writing of my dissertation and I’d hate to have to rely on the overly expensive EndNote for my citations. I also think Zotero has grown by great leaps and bounds in recent years, and I look forward to Zotero’s continued progress.

Also, Sweden’s Pirate Party managed to get a seat in the EU. The party has been actively fighting for the reform of copyright laws (much to the dismay of media/tech corporations) since 2006. The party made most of its gains leading up to the elections thanks to the Pirate Bay trial, which found its runners guilty of promoting copyright infringement.
